Founded in 2018, ColeSapp brings together 62 years of combined principal experience in low-voltage consulting, design, coordination, and field implementation. That experience shapes a thoughtful, practical approach in which every discipline is considered as part of one connected environment.

Our role is to bring clarity to technical decisions, anticipate coordination needs, and work alongside the project team to carry design intent from early planning through construction and final implementation.

Thomas H. Sapp II

Thomas Sapp is an accomplished audiovisual and control-system designer with 29 years of experience creating technology environments that are intuitive, reliable, and thoughtfully integrated with the architecture. His work encompasses presentation and collaboration systems, video conferencing, 4K video, digital audio, streaming and distance learning, sound reinforcement, AV distribution, BYOD connectivity, building automation, and integrated control systems.

Thomas approaches audiovisual design from both the user’s perspective and the realities of construction. He works closely with owners, architects, engineers, and integrators to define project requirements, coordinate technology with the building, develop clear construction documents, and maintain design intent through installation and commissioning.

He began his career with Lucent Technologies in 1997, designing central-office switching facilities for BellSouth and AT&T. That foundation in telecommunications and infrastructure continues to inform his understanding of the networks, pathways, equipment rooms, and structured cabling that support today’s advanced AV systems. Since co-founding ColeSapp in 2018, Thomas has brought this broad technical experience to sophisticated commercial, hospitality, education, and institutional projects.

Principal · Data Voice

Donald W. Cole

Donald Cole is an accomplished data and voice infrastructure designer with 33 years of experience creating the communications backbone that supports modern building technology. His work encompasses structured cabling, fiber-optic and copper distribution, telecommunications rooms, equipment spaces, network connectivity, wireless systems, and the pathways that connect them throughout a facility.

Donald approaches data and voice design as a critical part of the building infrastructure. He works closely with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and technology integrators to establish capacity and performance requirements, coordinate service entrances and distribution routes, plan MDF and IDF spaces, and produce clear, buildable construction documents. His experience also extends to the security, access-control, and cellular-enhancement systems that depend on a well-planned communications network.

Since co-founding ColeSapp in 2018, Donald has led the firm’s data and communications design efforts with an emphasis on reliability, constructability, and long-term flexibility. By addressing infrastructure needs early and maintaining oversight through construction, he helps project teams deliver organized systems that perform today and can adapt as technology evolves.
